How to apply

Please complete our exeat weekend application form which can be found here and email it to info@samiad.com

Once we have received your application a member of the team will be in touch with you to confirm the details of your booking.  We will then send you an invoice for the programmes you have applied for and our bank details.

Once payment has been received we will confirm a place on the programme has been reserved.

Do you have any accreditations?

Yes, we are accredited by the British Accreditation Council to run short programmes.  Each year we are audited to ensure that we are complying with the most up to date standards for children's care, accommodation, staff training and welfare.

How many students will be attending the programme?

We have a minimum requirement of 10 students, and depending on the dates of the programme there could be a large group or a very small group.  Often we have agreed with a school to run programmes specifically which means that there are likely to be a small number of participants but in some cases it can be larger.  We always have a minimum of 1 staff member for every 10 students.

Will there be children from other schools as well?

In some cases, yes, but not always.  It depends on the programme and whether or not a school has specifically requested for programmes to be run spearately.  Please contact us for detailed calander for all programmes.

What if the programme is cancelled?

A programme is only likely to be cancelled if there are too few participants.  In this situation a full refund will be granted and we will assist in finding alternative arragements.  

What is your cancellation policy?

If you wish to cancel one of our weekends then please get in touch with us in writing.  A full refund will be give if we receive written cancellation at least 14 days prior to the weekend.  If cancellation is received 0-14 days prior to the weekend commencing then a fee of 50% will be refunded.  If cancellation is received after the start of the weekend then 0% will be refunded.


Where does the group stay during the trip?

We have links with a number of accommodation providers such as the Best Western hotel, YHA Hostel's and the Stay Club, which are all 3 star accommodation.  If we have to find alternative accomodation it will meet our minimum standards, which is 3 star accommodation with breakfast included.

How can I contact my child during a trip?

During our trips your child can take and use a mobile as they wish.  We will also provide the telephone number of the lead staff member responsible during the trip.  All of the accommodation providers we work with also have wifi access throughout their residences.

Is it ok if my child has special dietary requirements?

Yes, we can cater for all dietary requirements, please complete the correct section on the application form in as much detail as possible.

Are we able to apply if you don't already work with our school?

Yes, our programmes are open to all students aged 11 - 18.  Often you will hear about our programmes through the schools themselves, but if you contact us directly you are more than welcome to join any of our programmes.
